Old Business

There was discussion of the floor reimbursement funds, which come from FEMA, through the state, in the amount of approximately $4200. They will need our Federal EIN and checking account number.

Chris pointed out that we need an EOP (Emergency Operations Plan). He said the County is working on an EOP, which the will distribute to us for our adoption with no to minor modifications. Rich said that one thing we need to do is send letters to each individual acknowledging their donation of use of vehicle. Dave commended Rich and Donal for putting together the application.

Dave noted that the Transparency notice is correct, everyone but Dave is up for election in 2014. Dave will get the email from Rich which came from Kyna Glover which specifies who will be running for which terms in 2014.

Rich noted that the door is still open to make a claim to FEMA for the undermining of the station floor. Peter Swift is working with Rich to come up with a very rough estimate of the cost, and they will go from there.

New Business: Donal asked that we consider a new President in January. That will be held for January.

Chief’s Report: Chris noted some training that happened: Dave trained on how to fill SCBA tanks. We have three FF who completed Squad Boss training: Kris Gibson, Dave Wilson & Luke Finn. They will have to have task books filled out hopefully by working with some other departments. Chris also asked that every one begin thinking about some long term planning, two, five and ten years out. Rich asked that Chris bring in his top five goals/needs in regards to such a plan.

Donal added one thing: He wished to pay tribute to BCSD Deputy John Seifert, who died a week ago. He did a lot of service to the community, as all the Deputies do.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:44 pm

Respectfully Submitted,

Dave Sturtz, Sec’y
